A beautifully toned drachm from the Volcae-Arecomici

SOUTHERN GAUL. Volcae-Arecomici. Circa 118-76/74 BC. Drachm (Silver, 16 mm, 2.48 g), 'à la tête négroïde' type. Celticized male head with elaborate hair to left. Rev. Large cross with three pellets and one annulet in quarters; each quarter bound by crescent. Flesche 150. LT 2986. SLM 79. A beautifully toned and attractive example. Minor flan faults and the reverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, good very fine.
